Communication errors with different brands of fiscal devices

Specifics of working with fiscal devices and I-Cash

Several companies manufacture cash registers for the Bulgarian market. The program was commissioned by Daisy Tech AD and has been tested and works with the company's products, which you can view on its official website.

For some time, Online Services Ltd. has been working to expand the range of devices available to users of its inventory software. From the very beginning, we encountered differences in communication protocols, which we will describe here. These discrepancies mean our customers must take into account how they use I-Cash to control their cash register.

When working with Eltrade fiscal devices:

• A 100% discount on an item (a row) is displayed as a return.
• With a 100% discount on an entire bill, it prints a fiscal receipt for BGN 0.01.
• Does not support operator reports.
• Does not support item reports.

When working with Datecs fiscal devices:

• The default password for Datecs printers is 0. When a user is created in I-CASH, the following are generated automatically: the first user is operator 1 on the cash register (printer), with password 1. The second user is operator 2 on the cash register (printer), with password 2, and so on.

When working with ZIT fiscal devices: 

• No discrepancies have been found so far.

When working with Daisy fiscal devices:

• No discrepancies have been found so far.

When working with Tremol fiscal devices:

• Only one operator is programmed in the device by default.

Note: In most of the listed cases, selecting an unsupported operation breaks communication between the devices.
